Mom Care Docs - About Us

Mom Care Docs is a group of female family physicians providing pregnancy and delivery care to low-risk maternity patients in Edmonton and surrounding areas. We provide prenatal care at our office in the Allin Clinic and do deliveries at the Royal Alexandra Hospital.

Our goal is to provide comprehensive care throughout your pregnancy, attend your delivery at the hospital, and provide postpartum care (six weeks after delivery).

We accept self referrals and referrals from physicians, various clinics, planned parenthood and public health centres. We accept patients on an appointment only basis and encourage you to book in a manner that is convenient for you (i.e. always with one doctor or with a different doctor each visit).
If you are unable to attend your scheduled appointment, please cancel as far ahead as possible.
The doctors take turns being on-call during the week and on weekends. The doctor who is there for your delivery is the doctor "on-call" that day.
If you do not have a family doctor we strongly encourage you to find one as we provide care for your pregnancy only and not other medical problems.
Please let us know who you want to care for your baby (your family doctor or pediatrician). We can take care of your baby while you are in hospital if your doctor does not do so.
We ask that you take your baby to your family doctor or pediatrician one week after delivery for follow-up.

Mom Care doctors teach Family Medicine residents (doctors in training, men and women). These residents are involved in your care at the clinic and the hospital.

MOM Care doctors participate in MORE^OB, a national program to improve safety for pregnant patients.
